Our Commitment to Our Communities

Our Commitment

At Wedgewood Weddings, we believe celebrations extend beyond the dance floor. For nearly 40 years, our family-owned company has been honored to support local nonprofits, charities, and community organizations. From Junior Golf programs to Boys & Girls Clubs to FOOD Share of Ventura County, we’re proud to raise funds, volunteer time, and give our hearts to causes that matter. Together, we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to strengthen and uplift the neighborhoods we serve.

Just as marriage unites people with a common bond, we’re proud to say that Wedgewood Weddings is married to our community.

Ongoing Initiatives

Community is at the heart of everything we do. Every Wedgewood Weddings venue is more than just a beautiful place to celebrate — it’s also a hub for connection, giving, and meaningful impact.

We encourage our venue managers to join local Chambers of Commerce, build strong relationships with businesses and social groups, and support events that bring people together. Our teams love seeing familiar faces at birthdays, weddings, retirements, and memorials — and we’re proud to grow alongside the families and friends who trust us with life’s most important milestones.

Last year alone, each of our venues donated $1,500+ to local charities and foundations. These efforts were paired with hands-on volunteer work, amplifying the impact of each gift. Causes included children’s services, animal welfare, environmental programs, and medical research. We’re proud that every team chooses a cause that matters to their community, ensuring our giving is heartfelt and local.

Because when we give back, we don’t just build stronger events — we build stronger communities.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Every year, our team at Wedgewood Weddings joins the mission to beat breast cancer by walking with the Susan G Komen Organization and BCRF. This helps to fund local breast health initiatives that make a lasting impact in our local communities.

BCRF'S History & Mission

In 1993, Evelyn H. Lauder and Dr. Larry Norton recognized the urgent need to eradicate breast cancer and created the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Ever since, BCRF-supported investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

Research is the reason there are more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. and deaths from breast cancer have declined by nearly 40% over the last 25 years. But with 40,000 lives lost to the disease each year, there is still critical work to be done.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is dedicated to the end of breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. This organization has awarded millions of dollars in grants to support the work of leading scientists around the world, making it the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide. BCRF is also the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. For men, the lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer is about 1 in 833. So, the more we raise, the more BCRF can support the men and women of America through breast cancer education, screening, and treatment programs to support national research toward finding the cure.

Susan G. Komen History & Mission

In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. What started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, they’ve invested more than $2.9 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy, and programs in more than 60 countries. They have helped reduce deaths from breast cancer by 40 percent in the last 40 years.

The Susan G. Komen organization addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach, and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.

Walk

Find a race near you and discover friends at Wedgewood Weddings who will encourage you as you walk. Most 'Race For Life' initiatives offers a child's fun run, 5K, and speed race.

Donate

If you wish you can donate too and we'll double the impact of your gift! At Wedgewood Weddings, we match the donation with our local fundraising initiatives. We're delighted to have given tens of thousands to this much-needed organization.
